Special Exception System for Prefectural High School Entrance Examinations
Applicants who have completed 9 years of school education in a foreign country or are expected to complete it during the year when the entrance examination is held are eligible to take the entrance examination for Fukuoka Prefectural High School.
For transferring from overseas, please contact the school to which you wish to apply first, as it is necessary to confirm the qualifications and academic ability of the applicant.
Classes and tests after entering a prefectural high school are conducted mainly in Japanese.
Special measures for entrance examinations
1_Subjects
Both (1) and (2) in 2 below apply to (i) or (ii).
(i): Those who were born and raised in a foreign country and have transferred to the 4th grade or higher of elementary school in Japan.
(ii): Those who were born and raised in a foreign country and could not transfer to a Japanese elementary or junior high school because they were over school age when they entered Japan, and less than 7 years have passed since they entered Japan.
2_Special entrance examination system
(1) Special academic achievement test
This examination is for those who have difficulty in determining their academic ability in the regular academic achievement test due to differences in Japanese language ability or educational content.。【Content】
Japanese, mathematics, foreign language (English), essay, and interview will be held in late January. *1.【Participating Schools】

Will be held in late January.(2) Special measures for general academic ability tests
This is a system for those who have difficulty demonstrating their academic abilities due to their Japanese language proficiency, and allows them to demonstrate their true academic abilities by extending the testing time for academic achievement tests and add kanji reading aids to test questions.【Details】The following A and B special measures will be taken during the academic test to be held in early March. *1
A: The test time for Japanese will be extended by 25 minutes, and for other subjects, by 15 minutes.
B: The test will be administered by using questions from an academic achievement test in which kanji characters are added with reading aids.
【Schools to be implemented】All Fukuoka prefectural high schools are acceptable, but the venue may be a different school from the school where the applicant will take the test.
