Fukuoka International School, accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization, an international educational accreditation organization, provides consistent English-language education from early childhood through high school.The school is also WASC accredited.Other private schools in Fukuoka Prefecture also offer courses accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization.
Foreign residents who wish to attend public elementary and junior high schools are accepted free of charge for tuition and textbooks.
