Yame Tea PR in New York

On Wednesday, October 18, the visiting delegation, including the Governor and the Chairman of the Prefectural Assembly, participated in a Yame tea promotion held in New York. The U.S. imports the largest volume of green tea from Japan, and by promoting the appeal of Yame tea from New York, a trend center, the project aims to raise awareness and expand sales both domestically and internationally.

The visiting group exchanged opinions with Mr. Zach Mangan, President of "kettl," a Japanese tea specialty store, about the reputation of Yame tea in New York.
President Mangan spoke highly of Yame tea and remarked that the appeal of Yame tea is that it produces a wide variety of teas, including sencha, gyokuro, and matcha.
In addition, Governor Hattori participated in a Yamecha tea and food pairing tasting event held at the three-star restaurant Eleven Madison Park, where he directly communicated the appeal of Yame tea to a wide range of local influencers and restaurant personnel.
Local officials commented that the synergy between the concentrated umami of maitake and mizudashi gyokuro was impressive, and that it was their first experience with sparkling oolong tea, and the tasting was a success.
