"Namaste Fukuoka 2024" has been held!!
"Namaste Fukuoka 2024" was held at Tenjin Central Park on April 13th and 14th, 2024 as a cultural exchange event between India and Japan.
Fortunately, it was sunny both days! It was a warm enough day to wear short sleeves.

Greetings by H.E. Mr. Sibi George, Ambassador-Designate of India to Japan.

We were also able to try on the Indian traditional costume "sari" for free. Many people were wearing saris.

Beautiful designs of henna art (mehndi, henna tattoos). It was a great success, with reservations filling up one after another.

A scene from Indian classical dance. We had a commemorative photo taken under the cherry blossom tree. Thank you!!

Performance by ODORU Indian NEELA.

There were many booths set up, and there were lines everywhere. As expected, there were many booths where you could eat curry.

We tried making gulab jamun, which is said to be the sweetest snack in the world!
It was very sweet, so I also had the "Chicken Biryani" which was advertised as spicy!

Thank you for the wonderful photos!!
