“Overseas Migration Panel Exhibition” Coming Soon!
The 12th Worldwide Fukuoka Kenjinkai Convention will be held in Fukuoka Prefecture from Wednesday, November 5 to Saturday, November 8, 2025.
Overseas migration from Fukuoka began in 1885 with migration to Hawaii. Before and after World War II, more than 50,000 people left Fukuoka, making it the fourth largest prefecture in Japan for overseas migration.
Today, the Overseas Fukuoka Kenjinkai—made up of migrants from Fukuoka and their descendants—are active in 20 locations across 9 countries. They play an important role as a bridge of exchange between Fukuoka Prefecture and the countries where people have settled.
Ahead of this world convention, the “Overseas Migration Panel Exhibition” will be held in four regions within the prefecture.
We warmly invite you to visit!
