Tea Ceremony Experience at Ohori Park Japanese Garden
“Exchange Students Program for Descendants of Immigrants from Fukuoka Prefecture (*)” had the opportunity to experience a traditional tea ceremony at the Ohori Park Japanese Garden.
*The program accepts immigrants who have Fukuoka Prefecture as their home and their children as “descendants of Immigrants from Fukuoka Prefecture” at universities in the prefecture.
They practiced several times for this day, and on the day of the event, they wore kimonos and served tea and sweets to the invited guests.
Through this experience, they were able to connect with Japanese traditions and it seems they have developed a sense of pride and affection for Japan, where their roots lie.
