Early Setsubun Celebration at the Prefectural Office!👹✨

Ahead of the Tōchōji Setsubun Festival* on February 2nd and 3rd, we held an early bean-throwing event on January 23rd in the lobby of the Fukuoka Prefectural Office to welcome good fortune!

Governor Hattori was joined by international students living in Fukuoka, who dressed up as the Seven Lucky Gods and Otafuku to help liven up the event.

*The Tōchōji Setsubun Festival is a traditional event with a long history, featuring lively bean-throwing by the Seven Lucky Gods, Otafuku, and red and blue ogres. Each year, international students take part as a way to experience and connect with Japanese culture.
