International Exchange of Fukuoka Prefecture

Relationship between Fukuoka Prefecture and the State of Hawaii

 

Fukuoka Prefecture and the State of Hawaii, U.S.A., first entered into a sisterhood agreement in 1981.

And over the past 40 years, exchanges have continued in a variety of fields.

 

The Governor of Hawaii, Mr. Josh Green, visited Fukuoka Prefecture on September 10 and 11 for the first time since assuming office as Governor.

 

Memorandum of Understanding on the Promotion of One Health

 

During this visit, Fukuoka Prefecture and the State of Hawaii signed a new “Memorandum of Understanding on the Promotion of One Health through Cooperation between Fukuoka Prefecture and the State of Hawaii”.

This MOU will be an opportunity for the two prefectures and states to collaborate on specific initiatives to promote One Health, such as humanresource development and public awareness.

One Health Garden Inspection Tour

 

On the same day, Governor Josh Green, State of Hawaii inspected the One Health Garden at Fukuoka Junior College for Kindergarten Teachers.
